Volition and Consciousness

the idea of living and dying is highly extravagant for it has an unlikely different value to each person. it is usually the start of conversations which may sometimes lead to silly arguments, yet, the meaning of these two words are very simple. you were born to live, experience life, and ends your experience by dying. its all that. the idea is, in fact, arbitrary for it transcends through time. its value changes and may de- or regenerate, depending on the consciousness of the person. a person, at some point in his life, may enjoy the benefits of living, but at some times, may curse for having the life he has.

in this case, a person too, is arbitrary. he is, too,a subject of change. humans as socially-constructed individuals needs to conform to to the transformities that happen to his environment, may that transformation be biological as stipulated and furthered by Charles Darwin in his Theory of evolution, or sociological (there’s just too many theories with this aspect that it would be ambiguous to name one). a man’s perceptions on things goes in a circle, with twists and turns. what he may have said yesterday may be of no meaning tomorrow. no one is a stable person for that idea is eutopic. as the cliche goes, and will always be a universal fact, nothing is constant in this world but CHANGE.

the changes brought about by certain factors within his environment affects man in all sorts of manner. a simple brush of the wind on his forehead in the morning may affect his mood all throughout the day. then things go on in a causal principle (cause and effect), and in here also we need to incorporate the idea of volition. as i have said, man responds to change. he needs to. and this response is better explained by the cause-and-effect principle.

you react beacuse there is an action. you may react without thinking, and this is a do-do situation.for example, when your hand touches a hot surface unknowingly, you dont need to think if youll gonna remove it. body responses tells you too. then volition comes in, if youre still sane, of course you’ll pull off your hand in just a matter of two seconds.it would be so stupid if you need to spend some time thinking, even if its just 10 seconds.duh.

this thing is going no where. i dont even know why im writing this.

this could perhaps be my abrupt way of reacting to certain actions.

this is my volition.

and that volition is to rant.

Have Life In Your Own Colors

things may sometimes get crazy, get into your nerves, and turn your world topsy turvy. then we conclude life sucks, indeed.

but then again, redirecting the statement to us, is it life itself that sucks, or are we just good at sucking on how to go about it? i concede to the latter.

after years of blaming everything messy to anything else not me, its high time we see what US has got to do into it. i mean, why do we pour the hot water to someone or something when its actually us who make our own drawings. we want it beautiful but sometimes it just get so ugly, whether we like it or not. what is important is the end product is not in black and white. Its got to be colorful. its the only thing that everybody can recognize since beauty is absolutely relative in each other’s eyes. you dont have to care if its ugly to everybody for as long as its vivid to you.

we make life. we decide on how it should go, and where should it take us. it is just a matter of perception and on how you deal with things. life is a reality that you can never escape. but it can also be a fantasy that you could never have dreamed off.

lets have ours painted colorfully!
