December Baby: Ingrid Michaelson

ingrid’s music has been playing in my player for a long time now. i love the melody and her voice. uhm, i just love her type of music. so peaceful and calm.my sister and cousin would even love to joke on me that my choice has been getting more and more like of older people. hahaha!

one of my favorite would be her song December baby. and id like to share the lyrics here:

December Baby by Ingrid Michaelson

The colored lights, they brightly shine.
Unlike your eyes avoiding mine.
The snow is folding sheet upon sheet.
Our hands not holding as we cross the street.

You have had your fill your fill of me.
You have had your fill your fill of me.

I wore the dress I thought you loved.
But my boots are filling with snow you shoved
Off of the car we climb into.
You finished first, I must catch up to you.

You have had your fill your fill of me.
You have had your fill your fill of me.

How can I catch up when I don’t don’t want to?
How can I catch up when I still want you?

You have had your fill your fill of me.
You have had your fill your fill of me.

December baby, you are my,
December baby, you are my,
December baby, you are my,
December baby, you are mine.

hahay - this alone can speak of everything that i feel.

Sick Again

Its nearing 730 pm and my head feels so heavy. So is my nose. It feels like it’s contained with a litter of fluid that swears to stay there, that no matter how hard I try to sneeze it out, they just wont! Do you think I need rhinoplasty LA  to reshape it or resize its holes that would allow the fluid to flow freely? Aaahhh! Having all this flu and fever stuff is just sooo not fun!

Yep, Im sick. So super sick. Okay. Not so super super sick. Just super sick. And I hate it when I am sick. I cannot do the things I can when I am well, say, like drinking a bottle or two, or immerse myself in movies until the break of dawn.

It started Sunday night, although I have been feeling quite bad since the morning. My head just hurt so badly and my eyes, they feel like they are some kind of a steam machine. Every time I wear my eyeglasses, they moist. See? I am all hot in the inside.

Last Sunday night, I invited a good friend of mine to get a massage in a center near the bar where we had a small drink. I thought me feeling sick was just nothing and that the drowsy feeling was just an after effect of staying for more than two hours in our fish cage. I thought I was just sea-sick. So when my highschool friends invited me for a paintball war, I never hesitated and rushed to the venue. We did had a good dose of laughter, excitement, and for me, more pain. See, I got hit by John on my thighs(watch out John! I’m gonna get you for this!) close range! That even if I wore thick jeans that day, I still got those bulging bruises! They just hurt so bad!

After the game, we head straight to Mcdonald’s for some sundaes to cool off some heat. That was the time that I felt hotter and that I was not so attentive to what everyone was saying anymore. Then I decided I need a good massage. Perhaps, I was just so stressed and my body’s giving up on all of the abuses I am inflicting on her.

The massage was a go-go and it kinda relieve the not so good sick feeling. But still im sick. I just so hate getting sick, especially the drinking the medicines part. Aaargh!

Writer’s Block

How do professional writers write? I mean how come it seems that they are not running out of words and that they are able to write so many stories? How do writers write in the first place? This question just came to my mind just now, as I was doing an article for work. And I am really running out of ideas here (anyone?loi needs some help here!). More stories can be found at EcoQuest Intl tagged storiesThe environment as a subject matter would sound interesting. But as for now, I dont think I am in the mood for writing how to take care of planet earth, when i cannot even take good care of myself. Though we should really have that concern for her right? We oughta be!

Anyways, I am in the mood for ranting so I’d rant. Uhm which is easier to create? A technical paper or a novel? Hahay. I say, none of the two. It is still better to rant! Hehehe. Nothing can just beat it. You say what you wanna say. You can write without measurements, no proper subject matter. Whatever comes to your mind, you have all the liberty to say it through a sentence or two. And whoala! You’ve created a masterpiece of your own; not necessarily a very scientific technical paper with all those jargons understood only by men of science, nor a very heartwarming romantic story whose novelists have invested their whole heart.

One not good example would be this entry. It is a good example in such a way that it best fits the characteristics of a free flowing article. It is not a good write up but a good example. Hehehe. Wherever could this entry goes, I’m stopping now.

Waaah! I feel so bad for running out of words and running out of ideas.

Random Thoughts on Writing

I never  had imagined myself to be writing entries such as this one. Looking back on my high school days, I never loved writing. I was more of a reader than neither a writer nor a storyteller. I abhor writing assignments, though there was one particular subject that I really loved, even though it practically involved a lot of writing and writing.

When did I start to like writing? Perhaps that was when I got a fairly high grade for a final paper, even if I was not that confident on my writing skills. Although, I had already grown the fondness of writing poems and other short non formal write ups. Then I started to write journals as a means of pouring out what I cannot easily express verbally. Good university literary writers also at some point inspired me to read more, of their own compositions and of other good reads. Then I started digging for more articles or books, which eventually somehow influenced my writing style.

Since I was exposed to magazines and short stories, I kinda write without proper English measurement. Most of the time, when I reread some of the articles I made, it felt like I was really talking out loud! When computers were made available to almost anybody, and through internet (thank God for the brilliant minds who made internet!), I have developed that laziness to write using a clean sheet of paper and pen. That was the time I started blogging. And I still to date. Of everything and anything under the sky. May it bring happiness or an itch of what reality means. Uhm, I wonder how Dennis C Carey  writes? He’s got his own blog in wordpress and its winning more readers each time. He’s more of a technical writer though. I go for ranting!

just cant get enough

Somebody just annoys me so much right now that I’d like to give her some Baltimore facelifts. It would be really that something she needs. Perhaps, when she looks more beautiful, thanks to aesthetic science, I might forget what she has done. Or perhaps, I do need this facelift too to alter my image. It’s not that I hate her, but the thought of what she’s done is something I think I can’t forget.

There are things you ought to keep to yourself, and yourself alone. And if you choose to vent it to others, for human psychology reasons, the people to whom you confide to must be carefully chosen. They must not be just anyone that you are close with, or you are comfortable with. More to the comfort you are feeling when they are around, secrecy considerations must be of utmost importance. Is he to be trusted? And if you trust him, are you ready to the consequences when the secret is out for some uncontrollable factors? And if the secret is out, would you still have the heart to befriend him?

I myself is a very trustFOOL person. And even if I am already saying this all the time, I have not learned the art of leaving some space for myself. Whew! Maybe I need a facelift too. Perhaps when I get a different face, I would then be living a completely different life.

Camiguin Baby Part I

last may 9-11, i enjoyed the trip and the getting around Camiguin. there were around 60 of us, aboard in our humble UP bus. i got the isle seat which was a discomfort for me. its not because i dont have a good spot to rest my back, but i got squeezed into two BIG people. more to that, our seat line were mostly of BIG people. just imagine how unbreathy and hot it was!

we left Mintal by 9:00 pm and reached Balingoan port around 5:00 in the morning. i didnt get a good sleep, but i think the isle seat is way better than the standing position of Sabs. *how was he able to manage that?*

it just took me two weeks to post the evidences of our kiat mode in Camiguin because of my pretensed busy schedule. *LOL*

the ferry ride to Camiguin was a blast! during the trip, there was a typhoon passing by Philippines, where Camiguin area is always hit during typhoon visits. the large waves rocked the small ferry high up and tossed down. before leaving the port, we managed to pose for photos, but a few minutes later, when we were already in the middle of the sea, we have to grab somebody else’s arm to maintain our balances. still, we were able to get it through to Camiguin with jokes and lots of them!

we were fetched by two jeepneys, just like before and right after having breakfast at Islet Resort, we headed straight to J&A Fishpen and Sto Niño COld Springs.

im allergic to cold stuffs, and i get this small bumps that looks like mosquito bites whenever i am exposed to anything cold. kandingon,  they say. but the cold waters of Sto Niño was just so tempting that i completely ignored my allergies. i just have to handle with the itchiness later.

next stop was at Soda Swimming Pool. during my last field trip in Camiguin, we didnt pass by this place, so it was something new. what puzzled most of us was why it’s called Soda Swimming Pool. Giff, who happens to hail from Camiguin, said that it because the source of the pool water has deposits of carbonates. then, shall we burp if we had a drink from the pool water? i think so, because you’d be sipping all the urine deposits in it! hahaha *LOL*

most of the early part of the trip, i was with the company of these beautiful ladies here namely chichay, dee and tiempy. it was so fun fooling around with them!

we were supposed to make goofy poses but it seems that i was the only one who’s following the instructions. anyway, i can figure out my position actually, so dont ask. hehehe *LOL*

its me and chihcay. and yep, she’s one cute girl! thats my sistah! never mind the ever bungisnigs me. that’s my talent! hehehe by the way, this is one of the jeepneys we used to tour the island. and it was so yummy being in a company of BOYS. hahaha only that, they are way way younger. toinks! spank me!

pretty ladies noh?

nice one chay! for pulling the another kandingon te tiempy into the waters!

sisters by heart: loi te tiempy and chay in the resort where we stayed for a night.

this is just part 1 of the post and there are more more pictures to be posted so watch out for more of our fun-filled escapade at Camiguin! there will be more exciting stories, and they happened on the latter part of the trip.
